CitiGreen is a Power Purchase Agreement Provider.
CitiGreen Inc. helps businesses, institutions, and municipalities save money with solar generated electricity. We purchase, develop, own, and operate solar energy facilities and we sell solar-generated electricity through Power Purchase Agreements. Power Purchase Agreements, or PPAs, are long-term financing arrangements that allow Host Customers to save money on their electricity without bearing the costs associated with building, owning and maintaining a solar power plant. CitiGreen consistently offers the lowest electrical rates in the solar industry.
CitiGreen increases the value of solar power projects by producing the most income per installed watt in the industry without compromising quality, safety, or reliability. We build systems that consistently outperform similar sized solar energy facilities. This is due to our unique design experience and proprietary construction techniques and products, coupled with our financing arrangements with institutional investors. CitiGreen maintains a long term financial interest in all of our solar PPA projects. This results in less risk for investors and subsequent lower required returns, and is another reason we are able to outperform other PPA Providers in the industry.
Solar Integrators can benefit from CitiGreen’s PPAs by receiving more money for their completed solar installations. This is due to the design and product innovations. CitiGreen’s goals are directly aligned with our customers as maximum income equates to maximum earnings for our clients.
The CitiGreen team has about 70 completed commercial projects under its belt. Our development and finance teams consist of experienced solar experts with extensive solar industry experience. Our projects are designed, engineered and built to the highest professional standards using the highest quality materials. CitiGreen aligns itself with the industry leading manufacturers.

Power Purchase Agreements finance almost every solar power plant in the U.S. today. A solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a financial arrangement in which a third-party developer owns, operates, and maintains the photovoltaic (PV) system, and a host customer agrees to site the system on its roof or elsewhere on its property and purchases the system’s electric output from the solar services provider for a predetermined period. This financial arrangement allows the host customer to receive stable, and lower cost electricity, while the solar services provider or another party acquires valuable financial benefits such as tax credits and income generated from the sale of electricity to the host customer. With this business model, the host customer buys the services produced by the PV system rather than the PV system itself.
Power Purchase Agreement arrangements enable the host customer to avoid many of the traditional barriers to adoption for organizations looking to install solar systems: high up-front capital costs; system performance risk; and complex design and permitting processes. Solar Power Purchase Agreement arrangements are generally cash flow positive for the host customer from the day the system is commissioned.
When CitiGreen supplies Power Purchase Financing to a project, it has created the most wealth for all parties involved. This means the EPC contractor gets the highest price for their system, the Host Customer gets the lowest price for their electricity, and the investors get the highest returns for their investment. This is because CitiGreen has developed processes that maximize the income from the solar system and processes that maximize the return for the investor. This results in wealth creation in the short term as well as in the long term.
